I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universität Konstanz in Konstanz, Germany.
I conduct experiment-based research into the structure (syntax) and meaning (semantics/pragmatics) of human language. In conducting such research, I use a variety of methods (e.g., Truth Value Judgment Task, Eye-Tracking), and investigate a variety of languages (e.g., German, Mandarin), age-groups (e.g., Adults, 4-5 y/o Children), and populations (e.g., people with Aphasia, Autism).
The set of linguistic phenomena I have investigated includes: conversational implicatures, presuppositions, negation, and recursion.
This work has produced novel insights into what language is, how it is processed in the mind, and how an understanding of it is acquired by children.
Here is my Curriculum vitae.
